A Still Moment with ASD Familes
As an educator and photographer, I’m dedicated to actively supporting children with special needs. My latest project involves children with ASD and their families. It’s hard to take pictures of a child, but becomes especially challenging to capture still moments of children with special needs.
I want to express the need for these families and their children to be more accepted in our society. It gave me great satisfaction knowing I was able to capture moments of happiness and connection between the children and their parents.
COVID-19 Project
Just a few months ago COVID-19 came into our lives. Like a thief in the night, it radically changed our world for better or for worse. I feel that it is important to document this historic time as people interact in public spaces. Some of the pictures in the COVID series reflects how I dealt with humor to an extremely stressed and scary time in my life.
Cyanotype & Pinhole
Throughout my work I explored different ares of interest and technics of photography. Most of my pictures are digital and printed in ink jet. My exploration of alternative process in cyanotype and pinhole was an adventure to transfer to an 18th century process and wonder how well photos can be created with minimum technology.
